On the train to Munich

Flights were all on time. Now the train from the airport  to Munich's main train station, then switch  trains and on to Garmisch.

Mt Rainer

A very spectacular sight. We hiked up one of the trails a little way and found this view. About 5400' elevation.

It's quite a drive just to get to the mountain and visitor center at Paradise on Mt Rainer.  Then another long drive to Mt St Helen's.  But the view was worth it. Went to Windy Ridge Observatory. I know why they call it windy ridge.

Then we climbed up a lot of stair steps to see even more. You can see four mountains from here! Rainer, McKinnley (?), Hood and St Helen's.

Fishy!

Got to see lots of fish thrown around here. Many more pictures coming later on the web site.

Spent all day yesterday in Canada. Nice boat ride and sites to see.

Driving to Mt Rainer and St Helens.tomorrow.

Chocolate!

Great place!!! Dark chocolate just made 30 minutes ago. Mmmmmm.

Coffee?

These are everywhere. Saw the original Starbucks in Pike Place Market. People stood in line outside the door to get in. We didn't.

Saturday was a 21 hour day! Got up early to get to airport, good flight, saw some sights and discovered a parade that started in front of Space Needle. Saw that and then took a return trip to top of Space Needle to see  the view at night. Took the monorail back to downtown and finally to bed.
